Facelift for Facebook Profile Pages Print E-mail

Your Facebook profile page could soon be receiving a facelift.

The new profile page design attempts to reorganize and remove a lot of the clutter that can be found within current profile pages.

Profile pages will now be displayed using a tabbed system for each area, such as wall posts, personal information, and photos.

With the availability for users to display of so many applications, the new design is more than needed.

I would guess that we can expect an outcry from Facebook users, as we have for all the other Facebook changes. I, however, think the new design is necessary.

"The thinking goes that it’s likely that a new tab could couple all of the applications. For now, Facebook applications get smushed onto your profile page. It’s cluttered. By giving apps less space Facebook is hoping to clear out some of that clutter with better applications."
